Apparently there are many who find it amazing that NBC/MSNBC continues to tout Olbermann as a real reporter and continues to have him co-anchor the political primary coverage.
It would seem that the haters of FOX would be totally disarmed in their complaints. Imagine the outcry if BO or "comedian" Limbaugh were to sit in such a chair on election night for any news network!
Still, the marketplace rules and as long as KO continues to pull in his lefty-fringe, that network seems to be satisfied.
It must be sad for Tom Brokaw, et al.
"Countdown" on every level.
The aggregate cable news network chart does show all 5 networks average primetime ratings, and honestly it's much more crowded than I'd like it to be.
When we started the site, I did daily posts of cable news ratings with tons of detail. They were very pretty, but a ton of work, and they got very little traffic. As with many things, efficient trumped pretty.
I guess I just don't see where the numbers show anything but that Factor demolishes Countdown nightly. My question becomes, is Countdown 2nd, 3rd or 4th. I understand that conversation is nice, but I thought this was TV By the Numbers, not by political affiliation.
Let me play around a bit, what I may do starting next week is abandon the average viewer numbers in order to add the 25-54 numbers for all the 8pm shows. Because the fact is for 25-54 (which is what our industry friends universally say they care about) the race is noticeably tighter.
And maybe the long term charts just go away except for special updates.
KO is just a bitter, bitter man who is obsessed with O'Reily. Worst Person in the World, for what? For continually beating you week after week after week. One can only imagine what KO's final broadcast will be like, if and when MSNBC finally realizes he's nothing but poison for them.
One has to conclude that it must be a matter of jealousy to be so obsessed by a rival - Or KO's self-hate and insecurite. KO must go home and watch the rerun of BO every night.
KO really needs to get a life. Anyone that angry and bitter has issues and needs a rest or some major counseling.
I agree with Scooby. KO is verbalizing what many, many people think of Billo. I watch Billo sometimes just to hear the stupid things that come out of his mouth. I don't think there is one iota of jealousy, insecurity, or obsession that Keith has for Billo. I think Keith is just doing an excellent of pointing out what a douchebag Billo is.

24-54 Group about 1.6 to 1 for O'Reilly
Both seem to be increasing their audience now as the lead-up to the election dawns, but those numbers will fall of afterwards.
meanwhile MSNBC replaced tucker carlson, a pox new's style coolaid drinker/talking points spouter/faux outrage pretender with dan abrahms and the ratings went WAY up.
MSNBC is the future. as more and more of the other 79% of this country begins to wake up and shake off the distractions, fox will become increasingly marginalized.

BTW Dopermans target audience is red wine drinking NYC Liberals and Burnt out hippies from Berkeley. Doperman is a disgrace and a dope who will never bet O Reilly in the ratings

Please explain: Why such outrage the prompted his "Special Comment" against Hillary for not cutting up Geraldine F. when the very next night this Jeremiah Wright thing broke and KO gets all exercised about those willing to throw Oboma under the bus.
The same week KO's selective outrage against John McCain over that preacher Haggee's remarks
(who McCain barely knew), but he isn't the slightest disturbed about Oboma's own pastor of 20 years spewing his hate?
Olbermann's loyalists must follow him for the intertainment of watching his carnaval, they can't be loyalists because they think he is such an outstanding "reporter" of real news.
He is so in the tank for Oboma and his followers don't have the slightest clue about that.

It's the credibility (or lack of it) of KO that I was addressing. Any defence for KO's excuse for a "news" program when he purports to be a reporter?
