I have to agree with D-Nich, because I respect Olbermann due to him bringing out the facts, and being willing to bash the Dems when they mess up, but for the most part the Republicans do it to themselves, and we have him tearing into them night after night.

Maddow is good host and getting better, and I love her show because she is willing to have people like Patrick J. Buchanan and the J stands for J-ust can't figure out why we're not still living in the 50's and 60's.

According to this guy, African-Americans should have been thankful for slavery indirectly, because we are better off now than we would have been if we would have stayed over there.

Facts people and check your sources before you give a dumb response, because this was up on his own website, so don't come with some garbage understand!

The best 1-2 punch in news today, and that is proven with the fact that they research, and don't just do what their boss tells them to do.

You know what is amazing about these posts, and others all over the web like them? The right wingers, neo-cons, "real Americans"...whatever they call themselves, are all so full of hate and anger. There's no room in their minds for debate and compromise...just hate and anger.

Wow. First thing Eggie needs to do is get some professional help. I wonder if Eggie cusses the monitor as he writes all his hate? Seriously, you're gonna pop a vein in your neck, Eggie.

Second, have the courage to use your real name, Eggie. I'd be more inclined to take you and your views seriously if you weren't hiding behind a lame name like Egg-Bert typing anonymously from the safety of your home. Would you dare say these things to Olbermann's face, no...because you are a coward.

If you don't have the courage to post your full name when spewing hate, then you're no better than the Klan hiding behind their cowardly white hoods.

Next, there's the complete lie about Olbermann and the cold blooded killers remark. Show me the proof on that one. You can watch every episode on the web...find it and back up this ridiculous claim.

And then there's the insults... Olberdork, Slobberman, PMSNBC...wow, the maturity level of the right is astounding. Perhaps, on election day, they'll result to putting their fingers in their ears and yelling to avoid hearing the results when Obama wins.

Grow up, right wingers...then maybe the rest of the world will actually take your party seriously.

I am seriously scared for humanity after reading most of these posts. I have noticed a very definitive trend though. The K.O. supporters offer their opinion, and then back it up with facts. On the other side, O'reilly fans just use all of the right-wing talking point nicknames for K.O. Do you notice that they won't even call him by name most of the time. It has to be insults, facts and logic need not be employed. I really wish the O'reilly factor was as informative and nuetral as it claims to be. We would all be a lot better off if it was. Yes, K.O. has less viewers. Also notice that more than half of O'reilly's viewers will be dieing off soon. It is no surprise that the older generations like B.O. since they too are unwilling to accpet that the world is changing. JMHO

Obviously these posts were written by IDIOTS! Bill O'Reilly drones are a danger to society!!! Bill O'Reilly is a joke - problem is, he doesn't get it. He is the most pompous, arrogant, transparant, ill-informed knucklehead on cable television next to Glenn Beck. I can't believe he tries to pass himself off as an independent. He is as much a right-wing mouthpiece as Rush Limbaugh. If he would just cop to it he might actually be given some degree of credibility. He presents as a fake and a poser with a thin skin and a streak of professional jealousy. When he tried to "factually" state that John Stewart's audience was made up of stoned slackers, even referencing that his show conducted research to this effect, he tried to pass this off as a "joke" he was busted by the mainstream media. The fact is, Stewart's show is watched by more educated viewers than O'Reilly's, and if his show had an ounce of credibility they (and he) would have actually checked that out before embarassing themselves publicly. I also found it amusing that he actually referenced being snubbed by someone important who walked right by him and talked to John Stewart. It was hilarious how he couldn't get over himself. Bill O'Reilly is a loud-mouthed windbag with a personal agenda and a small mind. I am so happy that Keith Olbermann (an extremely informed journalist who actually does research) is beating him in the ratings. I love his O'Reilly factor segments, and the fact that he nails the news, the issues and the spin bombarding viewers on a daily basis. Fox News and is on the level of Jerry Springer, and I believe viewers are addicted to the entertainment factor they have orchestrated. They are pandering to the lowest common denominator, and it is insulting!

Wow!!! OK how does MSNBC do the math? Olberman says Obama was right all along. The Iraq government agrees to the 16 month pullout of the troop withdrawl. I think that's very fitting being that BillO focuses on the trivial garbage that he's known for. Have you ever taken into consideration that maybe having guests on from opposite points of view is just not Countdown's format? Have you ever considered that? The fact that his show is one of the few out there like it is dissenting enough for his vast audience. So please stop with that worn out criticism. All of the other points you bring up in your 2nd post are the reason why mostly only old, scared white people (both my parents are old and white but they're not scared of the crap that BillO peddles) watch BillO's stupid show. I would be especially interested in a futher breakdown of the demographics for both shows, specifically, location and political affiliations.

The BO show is certainly not for me; O'Reilly is loud and bordering on idiotic, so I wonder why so many democrats and liberals watch his show simply to bitch and therefore put more money in his pockets and give him greater access to guests. If you don't like the guy don't watch his show.

Interesting though that the numbers are closer between the two in the 18-54 age group. IMO Coundown to the White House is the better show for political discourse and Keith's the more entertaining, but that's just me. It also bothers me that people are so passionate about leaving commentary here...you guys better be paid talking heads.

Just because I use the word Cincinnati, does not mean that the signal from a radio station only goes out to just that city. This is a tri-state area.I don't know where you got your population figure from, but it is wrong. We just got done changing out all the water meters in Cinci and by the numbers, we changed out 262,000 meters. That would put less than 1 person in that house or business. The only reason why K.O had 1,183,000 viewers was that there were that many people out there that wanted to see him rant and rave and finally put the gun in his mouth and pull the trigger.

Also- the population of Cincinnati is a little over 300k. It seems highly unlikely that;
a) this percentage of the population (200k)pays attention to talk radio
b) this percentage of the population would complain to sponsors

Countdown looks pretty succesful by anyone's standards. Maybe you should complain to the Bill Gorman & Robert Seidman to have these stats taken off the site because you don't agree with them? Or maybe you should e-mail the advertisers on this website and complain that this site should be shut down because you can't yell louder than everyone that doesn't agree with you like your boy BillO does?
