But good news. The hot babe on the show, btw, is Lena Headey ;)
@Andrea if you click the "She'll be back" link above there is some homage to Lena H., and I agree she is a total babe.
But there's enough info from sources floating around out there though that I think this is about as good as it's going to get until the official line-up is released.
Taking a guess at your three questions, Robert, I'll say --
-- Mondays 8e/7c as the lead-in for a new drama
-- 22 episodes
-- Summer/Cameron will be all healed in time to go shopping for a prom dress.
That looked to be a very ordinary low velocity explosion in the car. Nowhere near enough to damage her hyper-alloy chassis.
A bit of tissue regrowth, which we know is possible in the storyline, and she's good as new!
Seriously though, I don't get the worry over her either. You should see the fan boards. You'd have thought they killed her off, or FOX was using this opportunity to get rid of Summer and get another actress. Like the show would have been as popular without her, or renewed!
Robert, I agree. I'm assuming the deal was FOX getting a good price per episode, and Warner Brothers gets good press running up to their movie. There's even rumor of a plot tie-in. That's sort of why I suspect SCC is getting a full season too. The movie comes out next year. By the way any news on the DVD release? I'm assuming Warner will want that out as soon as possible so they can make up for the FOX discount early.
"According to latest rumors from Hollywood, production of the latest Terminator film series was stopped, blah blah blah..." Source: http://www.javno.com/en/bestseller/clanak.php?i...
How can this developement affect how many episode we are going to get for the next season?
There is a "source" for the rumor though, and I'd say its this one.
I have no idea on its authenticity.
Thanks for the tip Robert!
The delay is probably contract-related but it could be FOX being buzz-savvy and keeping the show in the entertainment columns. Uncertainty generates more discussion than certainty: QED the posts on this site.
As for the UGO rumour - The Halcyon Company owns the rights to future Terminator projects outright. They bought out all of Carolco's remaining rights (including some to TSCC) last May. They seem to be financing T4 with money from private equity (like Legendary Pictures - who cofinanced Superman Returns, among others) and WB is just the NorthAm distributor, so it wouldn't be WB shutting down the production. The production did cancel plans to shoot in Hungary following the dollar's dive agains the Euro and relocated to New Mexico, where they were reportedly casting extras last week. For a production to fall apart at that stage, without any of the kind of negative buzz something like Justice League or that Nick Cage Superman got, would be highly unusual.
Oh, Lena Headey = HOT
Summer Glau = HOTTER
I think the attitude of "Well, it did pretty well in the winter/spring of '08 when everything was all screwed up, but how will it do in a normal season?" will often be the case.
If it were up to me I'd put behind something huge like American Idol and leave it there. ;) All the ratings drama is such a needless heartache.
Now back to exploring the needless heartache ;)
It's so nice to see "judgment" spelled right. I just have to say hats off. :)
Sarah Connor: How long have you been looking for us?
Cameron: Seventy three days.
Sarah Connor: And the war?
Cameron: The Skynet Missile Defense system goes online April 19th, 2011...declares war on mankind and triggers a nuclear apocalypse two days later.
Somebody at FOX has a really cool sense of humor. ;-)
